Our Projects

COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT

Sydney Fish Markets

The newly opened Sydney Fish Market, designed by 3XN with BVN and Aspect Studios, was a major redevelopment project at Blackwattle Bay, relocating the market from Pyrmont. With a revised cost of approximately $836 million, the project features a striking floating timber roof, over 6,000 m² of public space, and upgraded retail, dining, and seafood facilities to accommodate up to 6 million visitors annually. Doorpac have been involved in supplying quality fire-rated fire doors throughout the project. The project is generating over 700 construction jobs and aims to enhance harbour access with improved pedestrian, ferry, and cycle links.

HEALTH CARE

The $658 million Sydney Children’s Hospital Stage 1 and Minderoo Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre has been delivered as one project in a single facility. Known as the Bilima Building, as part of Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick, the new facility brings world-leading clinical care, research and education together under one roof to transform children's health.

The new facilities were designed with children and families in mind. More than 2,000 children, parents, carers, and staff shared their ideas to help make it a welcoming and comfortable place.

RESIDENTIAL

Elegant, refined and modern, with a layered and luxurious material palette grounded in authenticity, Harbourside Residences lets you exist at the intersection of a bustling city and tranquil retreat, with breathtaking views of the harbour and city skyline.

The Harbourside vision is being realised by a collaboration of the world’s best architects, landscape architects and designers, united in their purpose to produce a place of singular beauty and presence. The international design collective of Snohetta + Hassell and Bates Smart, with cultural advisers Djinjama and Bila Group, has worked as one to bring together the city and its people, the built environment and the landscape.

RESIDENTIAL

Corsa Mortlake is an upcoming luxury waterfront residential development in Sydney’s inner-west suburb of Mortlake, set on one of the last remaining foreshore parcels at the end of Tennyson Road overlooking Majors Bay on Sydney Harbour. Developed by boutique builder-developer Made Property and designed by award-winning architects SJB, the project comprises just 20 generously sized three-bedroom apartments, each offering uninterrupted 180-degree harbour views and expansive private balconies.

INFRASTRUCTURE

This upgrade is essential to process the long-haul aircraft, which can carry close to 400 passengers – a large increase to the 180 passengers carried by the domestic fleet.

This is a nationally significant project and, combined with the Code E upgrade of the runway, this is a game-changer for the region. With the final piece of the puzzle now secured, Newcastle is moving towards true global connectivity. The terminal will not only offer convenience to travellers who want to fly internationally. It will also drive huge, sustainable economic benefits across the region through inbound tourism and new freight-related industries, including import and export.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Construction of the Western Sydney International Airport began in September 2018 and has now wrapped up major elements including the 3.7 km runway, taxiways, airside infrastructure, carparks, roads and the state‑of‑the‑art terminal designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and COX Architecture.

Delivered on budget under Bechtel and Multiplex coordination, these primary packages were completed nearly seven months ahead of schedule, with construction effort representing around 9 million labour hours by more than 2,000 workers.

The airport is projected to open for domestic, international and cargo services in late 2026 as Australia’s first greenfield airport in over 50 years

CULTURE

Newcastle Art Gallery has been at the heart of Newcastle's rich arts and cultural history for over forty years. The art gallery expansion project will deliver an additional 1,600 square meters of exhibition space - more than doubling the space to showcase the city's collection and the artists’ most groundbreaking ideas.

Construction of the building shell is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2025. This will be followed by a period of commissioning - where the building transforms from a shell to a functional Gallery. The aim is to re-open our doors in 2025 in time for City of Newcastle's flagship arts and culture festival, New Annual.
